New To Town

What an exciting time to be at Calvary Chapel Star. Still new to the community but building a life and church based on the unchanging, eternal Word of God. We have seen the Lord taking care of people in some incredible ways. Throughout the months of July and August we saw the Lord take care of families in need, prayer requests for people’s health answered, others committing their lives to the Lord, and kid’s becoming excited about Jesus and committing Bible passages to memory. We are also thankful and excited to announce that there are two big changes coming up in the month of September.

First, the Lord has raised up a ministry team and leader to oversee and kick off our Jr. High and High School ministries. They will be meeting on Tuesday nights at local homes starting in September. If you know any teens who need the love and hope of Jesus feel free to look up the details of these ministries on the church website (see below) or give us a call.

Second, with the weather changing and having outgrown the River House we are moving on to a new location. The Lord has provided GEM Prep North as a new Sunday morning location. We will still be having the same 9:30am and 11:30am service times, just at a new location. See the website for the most up-to-date information or see the address below. God has been good to lead, guide, and provide for the gathering together of His people and we are prayerfully excited to see what He has instore for the future. Please join us in praying for the Treasure Valley. Pray that those who do not know the Lord would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Pray for those who are bound up in false doctrines to be set free and for those ensnared to addictions of any kind to find power and a new life in Christ. Pray that God would have mercy on our state and nation through the coming elections.
